[1] If you missed the live Nines Conference a few weeks ago you can now watch the videos online. If you don’t know what the Nines is about, it was a one-day online (free) conference where leaders from around the country were invited to share what was on their hearts to 20,000+ Christian leaders around the globe listening at their computers. But they only have nine minutes to do it. Also, it was held on 09.09.09. The great thing about it is the great talks leave you wanting more. And the bad talks…well, you only have to suffer through nine minutes. WARNING: While these are awesome, it will take a lot of your time. If you have self-restraint, check it out here.
[2] Birds on a wire. This short video is brilliant, creative and amazing. Wish there was more cross-pollinating creativity like this.
[3] The Top 100 most visited articles on Wikipedia in 2009. Some are not surprising. Others make you say… Whaaa?
[4] Camouflage photography. Can you see the people in each picture?
[5] Spent two days last week with Ed Dobson. This article came out when I was with him. Get his new book. I just finished it this week. It’s top shelf. It will frustrate some and encourage others. But it’s worth it.
[6] Haven’t had the opportunity to see U2′s 360 Tour live? Check out these photos – and check out the 360 degree interactive panoramic look from the stage. Awesome.
[7] Scot McKnight included a post called ‘Professor to Pastor.’ Check out the 12 things to live by. Very wise.
[8] Wow. Took me a while to get this, but its creepy.
[9] Can the Mega-church be missional? Great discussion via video with David Fitch and Ed Stetzer (HT JR Woodward). I think its fair and balanced. If you’ve ever asked this question, this is well worth your time.
[10] Been hanging onto this verse this week.
[11] I’ve prayed for John Tabutt often since reading this article. Lots of pain in this tragedy.
[12] One of my favorite modern artists is Makoto Fujimura. Not only is he a fantastic artist, he’s also an incredible writer. In the midst of the major league baseball playoffs, read this essay about his day at Busch Stadium (too bad the Cards are already eliminated from the playoffs). Masterful piece of writing.
[13] If you went to the recent Catalyst Conference in Atlanta this is a must read. Random thoughts, but thought-provoking (and I didn’t even attend).
