We asked our new Japanese neighbors what they wanted for a wedding gift. They politely replied (in their strong accent), “we just want you for the party.” Mildred thought they said, “We just want two port-a-potty.”
Our best man and maid-of-honor promised to stand up with us no matter what. Here’s a picture of the wedding party. Even though they both got a bad case of the stomach flu they figured out a way to keep their word. It was really a beautiful wedding.
