  • Easter in the Park: It’s B.Y.O.B.

    March 30, 2010

If you live in Lansdale or the surrounding area and are interested in participating in a unique Easter experience, Renew is hosting the 1st Annual Renew Easter in the Park.

Sunday morning April 4 at 10:15 am

The Lansdale Parks and Rec Department has approved Renew renting the Whites Road Park Amphitheater in Lansdale (directions here). If you’ve joined us for one of our Renew Gatherings at Marjeane’s its 4 minutes away.

The event is B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Blanket)

    I’m stoked.

The weather this weekend is supposed to be warm, too. Whites Road Park is a great park that has a newly constructed $2 million amphitheater. (It’s kind of ironic that the last time I participated in anything at the Whites Road Park Amphitheater was when I was the referee for Sumo in the Park with our local politicians.)

I took a few pictures of the amphitheater last week. Park in the pool parking lot. If you look through the woods you’ll see a large grass berm. Take the path and meet us there.

    All are welcome.

    Come as you are.

    Dress however you’d like.

Bring the kids (and anyone else who wants to come).

Yes, we are a church. If you’re unfamiliar with The Renew Community or haven’t been to church (either in a long time or ever) rest assured: we’re not a cult, we won’t force you to do weird things & we’re not trying to take your money. We promise. The only rule we have in our church is that no perfect people are allowed.

Hope to see you there. And come up and introduce yourself to me. I’d love to meet you.

*Stay tuned to the Renew website in case of inclement weather.
