Biblical Seminary, the school I attend, is hosting an ongoing lecture series that looks fascinating called Conversations on Christianity and Culture. The first lecture is on the topic of Theology and the Arts at the school on Monday night February 1 at 7 pm. The featured presenter is Dr. Jeremy Begbie, professor at Duke Divinity School. (Check out this YouTube of Dr. Begbie).
As is evident, the Church today is anemic in regards to integrating, highlighting and expressing creativity and the arts. It’s good to see Biblical proactively moving in the direction of embracing the arts and theology. If you’re an artist in the Church – or a leader in the Church – you should make an effort to attend.
The best part about it is its free to the public (but you must pre-register).

1JR,
this is great to hear. Dr. begbie was here on campus this fall and it was great. You can check out his Chapel here: http://www.taylor.edu/experience/chapel.shtml
I’ve heard you will be around for NSLC this year. I’ll be taking part in that as well and will look forward to this opportunity to reconnect.
Grace and Peace,
Steve
